Ainisha Persaud, M.S., LCMFT

Director and Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist serving Prince George's County in the D.C. Metropolitan Area

Born and raised in Prince George’s County, Ainisha Persaud completed her undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Maryland at College Park.  She’s been providing therapy for individuals, couples, and families since 1994. She founded Growth Point Therapy in 2003 to meet the specific needs of couples and families in Prince George’s County.

Ainisha is a licensed clinical marriage and family therapist and a clinical member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy.  She completed an externship in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy and is a trained Prepare/Enrich provider.  She has also worked extensively with trauma survivors. Her therapeutic approach focuses on attachment issues and dissecting the underlying process of communication between members of a family or couple.  Therapy goals always include the “Big 3” -- finances, communication and sex as well as developing the skills and support systems necessary for couples and families to be successful outside of therapy.

When Ainisha is not seeing clients or presenting workshops, she is happiest at home with her husband and their three beautiful children.  In her spare time she is a creative consultant for weddings and themed parties.  An avid fan of professional sports, she loves the Redskins and continues to mourn the retirement of Michael Jordan.  She is a former member of Spirit Wings Dance Company and currently works on the support staff at the Studio.  She and her family attend Cornerstone Assembly of God.

Danielle Branche, LGMFT

If you ask any therapist why they were drawn to this profession, most of them would probably answer with, “I wanted to help people”. While this is true of Danielle Branche, it is much deeper than that. She wanted to help people to navigate through life in more fulfilling ways. Danielle wanted to teach people how to be in relationships with their moms and how to forgive their dads. She wanted to give couples the tools they need to be the husbands and wives they want to be, not the husbands and wives their parents were. As a therapist, she is committed to doing just this.

Danielle Branche has a B.S. in Psychology from Hollins University and a Master’s of Family Therapy from Drexel University’s Couple’s and Family Therapy Program. As a licensed graduate marriage and family therapist, she is trained in the realm of understanding how to see things relationally, not just individually. Danielle is versed in locating where behaviors, beliefs, ideas, and feelings originate, how they affect our lives and relationships, and how to effectively manage and/or change them.

Danielle believes that as a therapist and woman of God, it is her calling to help and serve. With empathy, understanding, sensitivity, training, wisdom, and experience, she is able to do just that.

Along with seeing clients here at Growth Point Therapy, Danielle also works as a Community Educator and Group Facilitator at House of Ruth, MD. As a Community Educator, Danielle goes out to schools, churches, and a multitude of other organizations to inform, educate and train people in the community. Topics she focuses on include, intimate partner violence, healthy vs. unhealthy relationships, and much more. As a gateway group facilitator, Danielle works with abusers, delivering interventions to help them change their violent/abusive behaviors and beliefs.

In her free time Danielle enjoys watching movies and television shows, journaling, eating, and participating in the liturgical dance ministry at her church.
